Linuxエミュレータについて

  • Linuxエミュレータは、Linux用にコンパイルされたソフトウエアをFreeBSD上でそのまま実行できる様にするものです。
  • Linuxエミュレータ上で動くソフトウエアにはportsになっているものも多く、簡単にインストールする事ができます。例えば、RealPlayer 8.0(linux-realplayer-8.cs1)やAcrobatReader(acroread4-4.05)等があります。

Linuxエミュレータのインストールと設定

  • FreeBSD4.2Rのインストール時に、「Linuxバイナリ互換機能の選択」で「Yes」を選択している場合は、必要なプログラムはインストールされています。

  • 「/etc/rc.conf」の設定で、カーネルモジュールが有効になっている事を確認します。「Linuxバイナリ互換機能の選択」で「Yes」を選択している場合は、「linux_enable」の設定は"YES"になっていると思いますが、"NO"になっている場合は、"YES"に書き換えてリブートします。

    linux_enable="YES"

  • 上記の設定により、カーネルモジュール「/modules/linux.ko」が組込まれている事を確認します。これは、KLD(Kernel Loadable Module)と呼ばれ、動的にカーネルに組込まれます。

  • Linux用基本バイナリ「linux_base」がインストールされている事を確認します。Linux用基本バイナリは、「emulators/linux_base」と言うports/packagesで提供されていますので、インストールされていない場合は、「/stand/sysinstall」等によりインストールします。
