最近、「Fotolog.net」が非常に重いです。サイトにつながらない、つながっても画像が表示されないと言った状況が続いています。以下の記事によると、ハードウェアの更新が行われた様ですが、今までに無かった様な大量の実ユーザからのアクセスがあり問題が発生している様です。ちなみに、ユーザ数は、4月25日時点で、1,229,898となっています。2004年04月30日では、340,728ユーザだったので、1年間で4倍に増えている計算です。
The good news: everything is moved off of our old (inferior) equipment and is now on our brand new (super-duper) hardware.
The bad news: no matter how much planning and testing you do, some things just don't pop up until you're doing them for real. We've encountered a few configuration and networking issues that didn't appear until zillions of real users started using the site for real.These have temporarily resulted in lousy page response, poor image delivery and intermittent uploading problems.
